Agriculture has mainstay for Rwanda’s economy many years; hence it remains imperative that any effort to ensure long lasting solution to youth’s employment should be directed into bolstering agricultural production for food security and facilitating agricultural produce market accessibility. Our aim is to:
• Attaining professional Farmers and professional Agricultural Field Extension Mentors.
• Provision of Digital Application tool to mentored farmers for the purposes of easy produce market accessibility
FESY in partnership with RP-IPRC Musanze, implemented “My Farmer My Story”, a project under sponsorship of African Forum for Agriculture Advisory Services (AFAAS) under recommendation of MINAGRI.
This is a farmer centered initiative that brings together students from agricultural college to team with local farmers specifically those that reside in the catchment area of the agricultural Colleges, with a view of putting in place two way communication system between farmers and agricultural students that will result in improvement of practical skills of students at the same time increasing agricultural productivity levels of farmers
