Fesy Agriculture Training Impact

Empowerment of youth skills towards job creation in Karama IDP Model Village (EYSJC) is a project that is supported by RGB/UNDP and started on 01st April 2022, in accordance to the FESY working areas this project EYSJC is combining Economic Empowerment and Education through the vocational skills training. The project is taking place at KARAMA YOUTH PROSPERITY CENTER located in Nyarugenge district, Kigali Sector, Nyabugogo cell, Karama village. We have a one hundred youth of beneficiaries (100 Beneficiaries) from Karama IDP model village that classified into three classes: Class of Digital Skills 20 beneficiaries, Class of Tailoring 42 beneficiaries and Class of Urban Farming 38 beneficiaries.

Class of Digital Marketing: Beneficiaries trained in ICT skills that will enable them to be good Digital ambassadors, producing digital skills and digital marketers starting from local community to the globally network.

Class of Tailoring: Beneficiaries are trained sewing of different modes of cloths, designing new fashion for males and females that will enable them to compete to the market.

FESY is looking for sustainable development of individual groups from local saving groups to the company and cooperative and wide market of their production, The project coordination units is striving for growing solid linkages between beneficiary communities and local government structures to better market the community growing production to new markets governmental business support opportunities such as loan coverage schemes and social youth empowerment funds as far as youth projects are concerned.

Class of urban farming: Beneficiaries are trained in growing of vegetables in modern ways, making mushroom tubes (Imigina) and growing mushrooms(ibihumyo), we are looking how this center can become a large of market of making and selling mushroom tubes(imigina) to other farmers and mushrooms(ibihumyo) to all clients and suppliers in Kigali and country side.
